YESSIRREE! It certainly is a brand new year. What is in store for us? The year has barely started and the world population has been stirred by uncertainties in the future. With Trump taking over the Oval office in Washington D.C;, no one knows from one day to the next, what is going to happen. We always say, this is a crazy world, but what has been happening is downright ridiculous. Trump has started closing the doors to the United States, banning the entry of people from countries he has specifically named. Undocumented residents in the US are now in a predicament, including over 300,000 Pinoy TNTs included in the over 2 million illegal aliens.
Protests have been going on all over the world, against Trump’s recent Executive Orders and he has been in office for less than two weeks. Our own President Duterte has been under the gun for the extra judicial killings in the Philippines. So we cannot help but wonder, what in the world is happening in the universe?
2017 should be a year of promise….of better days for the people of the world, but with what is actually going on, how can we be so optimistic and hopeful? Well at least, if we turn away from the political arena for a moment it is refreshing to see that the sports have taken a turn to favour the older generation. No one expected to have a Federer-Nadal finals in the Australian Open, much less a Williams sisters rematch for the Ladies Singles title. These are over 30- athletes and they are supposed to be in the bleachers cheering on younger players. But it is a pleasant surprise. At least, the likes of Djokovic and Murray were sidelined for at least one Grand Slam. How about that?
This just goes to show that the way the world is nowadays, nothing happens as expected. We are in for a few more surprises as the days go by, especially since the U.S. is seemingly regretting voting and electing, mind you, their new president. Why is the highest office of the land suddenly a coveted position for businessmen, who have tendencies to be unscrupulous? Look at Trump. Now in Canada, the Dragon Kevin O’Leary is seeking the leadership of the Conservative Party, in the hopes of becoming Prime Minister should the Blue snatch back the government from the Red. Boy oh boy! It is really hard to comprehend when business started to attract politics. We were under the impression these are two different worlds.
The world is certainly a mystery to us, its present inhabitants. Social media has had a gigantic effect on the entire world, having anything and everything accessible to everyone. No need to rise from your chair to know what is happening around you. All you need is a smart phone or a tablet and you are all set. No need for TV, radio, or even telephone. Communication has changed so much, it is sometimes difficult to keep up with all the techie things.
It is also sad to see that people’s philosophies have also taken a dive. People are now confident with their own intelligence, and feel they have absolute powers that make them superior. Spirituality has gone by the wayside and less and less people believe in the Supreme Being. This detachment from spirituality causes people, especially the youth, to be easily affected by depression and stress, thereby causing them to look for remedy in all the wrong places. Statistics show that there have been over 900 deaths from overdoses. Did these people really intend to take their own lives? Or they just intended to forget their misery and overdosed by accident? It is truly hard to tell. Life is a struggle and sometimes, coping with providing a living causes parents to neglect their children and they go astray. This is a sad, sad situation.
When I think of all these kids who do not give themselves the chance to lead significant and meaningful lives, my thoughts go to our grandson Ethan, who fought with all his might to live longer, and yet succumbed to cancer at 19. He was spirited, positive, and loved life and yet was not blessed with more years in this world. As he fought the cancer, he remained cognizant of the fact that life is not forever. We all have our numbers, and when it is up, we have to go. His attitude was certainly inspiring, urging people he loved to do whatever it is that makes them happy. As his condition worsened, his faith grew stronger, and accepted the reality that he did not have too many days left in this world.
The pain he had to bear from all the medical procedures, did not cloud his senses. He reconciled with the fact that he was not even going to reach his 20th birthday. Ethan was brave in facing what was to happen. He used social media to get the word out to friends and family….”to do whatever makes you happy, because you never know how much time you’ve got left”!
Ethan’s life…..and death became an eye-opener for many. Ethan’s 19 years were filled with great moments, accomplishments, awards, genuine friendships, lots of travelling, and family bonding. He had a truly happy life in his 19 years…more than I can say for most people whose search for happiness never ends. Ethan made use of every opporrunity to have a fulfilled and meanigful life. He now serves as an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.
So….for this brand new year that just started, let us make sure we reflect on our life as it has been and try to find ways to make room for change, for the future. With everything that is going on in the world, change can best be achieved if we start with ourselves. We can’t expect the world to change if we are not willing to change ourselves.
A new year is always a good time to start. Change is always good as long as it makes us happy and better people.Let us develop a positive attitude with the intention to improve ourselves and be good examples for others. Let us discard old bad habits and gear our minds and hearts towards what will make us a better person.
Mind you…let not our intention be to please people, because we can never please everybody, but to please ourselves and be happy, as long as we feel in our minds and hearts that we are doing what is good. Stay happy!
You must learn one thing. The world was made to be free in. Give up all the other worlds Except the one in which you belong.
So simple, yet so essential, the white shirt is the foundation of any wardrobe. It’s also the most multi-functional item, taking you from work to play with just the quick unfastening of a couple of buttons. It matter what style fitted boyfriend etc or even what fabric from silk to heavy cotton go with whatever suits your personal style best.

There was a time in the industry not too long ago, when it seemed that the high fashion world was using plus size models as a headline-grabbing gimmick see the groundbreaking Italian Vogue cover featuring Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine, and Robyn Lawley in June 2016.
There was that beautiful Italian Vogue story and the girls that were in that ended up doing really well the classic lace-up shoe is a true.
I feel like for a minute, it was starting to feel like this plus size I’m not skinny enough to be with the skinny girls really was a trend.
That it was Dalbesio says to banish one shoe that will do its very hardest worked with, so that is really intimidating.

Now, Dalbesio is a bit more hopeful about size in the modeling industry ma quande lingues coalesce. In the middle Occidental in fact she says not skinny enough.
To find my place. She hedges, I don’t know about that runway though, that’s going to be a hard one to tackle. Everyone realizes why a new common language would be desirable: one could refuse to pay expensive translators.

To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?
On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment, so blinded by desire, that they cannot foresee.
